This is a basic introductory Informal 5-day LEARNING  & 2 days Playing Charter Course is for both the complete beginner and those who may already have some experience of either dinghy sailing or leisure sailing. 

An ideal way to learn more about sailing in a fun and safe environment. 

You will experience a challenging *sail *overnight and coastal sailing to learn or increase your knowledge about the following:

Sea terms and parts of a boat, rigging and sails.

Sail handling -  Use of sheets and halyards and their associated winches.

Ropework -  Ability to tie  knots and to know their correct use.

Fire precautions and fighting - Awareness of the hazards of fire and the precautions.

Personal safety equipment - Use of safety harnesses, life jackets and personal buoyancy aids.

Man overboard - recover a man overboard.

Emergency equipment - Learn to operate distress flare

Manners and customs - Aware of the responsibilities of yacht skippers & crew 

Dinghies - Handle a dinghy under oars, docking, loading

You will be guided by dedicated Crew who have sailed extensive Offshore miles. Your crew members  are experienced RYA Yacht Master Offshore and  RYA Day Skipper.
